Description
An aged Pu-Erh tea with ginger root and orange peel. A deep earthy flavor with a ‘bite’ of ginger and sweetness of citrus flavor. Pu-erh teas are fermented into a ‘block’ of different shapes, often know as ‘cakes’ after the normal first stage of drying the tea leaves and stems, and rather like fine wine, they are stored and the depth of their taste increases over time. Around 4700 years ago, the Chinese were using aged or fermented teas like this to cure a whole variety of illnesses and maladies. It is only recently that Pu-Erh teas have become more popular in western culture.
